Specifications

Size and Capacity: Accommodates 3 users (36" models) or 4 users (54" models) at a time, using less water, energy, and space than lavs equipped with conventional faucets. The sectional sprayhead module (nonsectional is optional) is controlled by a pushbutton which actuates an air valve (hand or foot control models), or an infrared sensor-actuated solenoid valve. Flow restrictor keeps flow rate constant at 0.5 GPM per station for all pressures. Operating range is 20–100 PSI.

Bowl and Pedestal: All exposed materials are type 304 stainless steel polished to a #4 finish. Bowl, pedestal and access panels, frame, foot control housing; support tube; and sprayhead are heavy gauge stainless steel. Exposed fittings are chrome plated.

Vandal Resistance: Bowl, backsplash, and support tube are an integrally welded assembly with the support tube welded to extruded flange from bowl. Sprayhead nozzles and pushbut-tons/ infrared sensors are secured to unit from inside the spray-head module. Air valves/solenoid valves are safely concealed inside the washfountain. Access panels are removable only with a hex key. All supply and waste connections are concealed with-in the pedestal.

Barrier-Free (ADA compliant)

Standard Height Models Only: Wall-mounted models (when mounted at standard height) and standard height floor-mounted models with hand or infrared control are designed to comply with all ADA guidelines on reaches, clearances, and operation.

Standard Equipment

Valves and Fittings: In addition to the bowl and pedestal, the following valves and fittings are standard: manual mixing valve, check stops, and strainers. Check valves are 1/2" NPT female.

Activation Controls

Air Valve Hand Control: Each pushbutton pneumatically actuates a non-hold-open air single temperature valve with field adjustable timing from 0–60 seconds. Factory set at 10 seconds minimum for ADA. Each pushbutton actuates one valve which in turn activates one station (sprayhead nozzle).

Air Valve Foot Control: Each pushbutton pneumatically actu-ates a hold-open air single temperature valve with slow closing upon release of foot pressure.

Infrared Control: Each of the spray nozzles is controlled by a separate solenoid valve. Hands placed within the washfoun-tain bowl are detected by an infrared sensor module which activates a flow of tempered water from one spray nozzle. Shut-off is automatic after hands are removed from the detec-tion area.

The infrared sensor module uses two zone-focused infrared transmitting beams—each creating a detection area not exceed-ing the bowl perimeter. The detection range projects 6–9 inches forward at a 30° angle to each side, and reaches 15°  below horizontal. The infrared sensor is not affected by vary-ing color tones or darkness. Direct sunlight or bright wash-room lights (up to 10,000 ft. candles) will not activate the sys-tem. Infrared models also include solenoid valves and a low voltage transformer as standard equipment:

• Solenoids—24V, 50/60 Hz, 1/8" NPT. Few moving parts, and resistant to most chemicals and minerals in municipal water.
• Low Voltage Transformer—Class II, 110/24 VAC trans-former with integral universal mount. Location and junc-tion box (by others) per local electrical code.
