| BRADSTONE WALLING Composition and Manufacture
Bradstone walling is manufactured principally from
naturally occurring aggregates. Blends of Portland Cement and colouring pigments and cast
in moulds. A range of masters is used to avoid noticeable repetition of profiles.
The Range
Masonry Stone:
rough texture and random appearance.
Traditional Walling: smooth
dressed texture laid in straight courses or use jumper blocks to give a more random
appearance.
Chamfer series:
smooth brushed texture with bevelled edges on horizontal joints.
Accessories:
Bradstone Dressed Ends for quoins or banding and can be utilised with both systems.
Shade Options
Bradstone Walling emulates the texture and colour of
indigenous natural stone of the types widely used in regional domestic, commercial, civic
and ecclesiastical architecture.
The economic advantage of Bradstone Walling over natural
stone and its similarity to existing masonry finishes makes it ideal for the conversion,
extension or refurbishment of existing stone buildings and for new-build projects in
sensitive planning areas, where complementary materials are deemed an essential design
consideration.
There are five standard shades, variously stocked.
Other shades can be formulated to specific requirements.
Mortar Colours
Traditional stonework would normally be pointed with
matching mortars; the list shown here are suggested mortars available from the Harcross
range of extra strength mortar colours. The dosage is based on per bag of masonry cement.
