BURKEEMERGE

BURKEEMERGE

This patent-pending enhancement to your safety lighting system uses two continuous photoluminescent stripes that guide the observer to a safety exit. Installation is quick and simple by attaching the track to the wall or floor and snapping in the glow strip to fit.

BurkeEmerge is designed to allow for the capping of baseboard (of any kind) as well as framing of doors and windows. Used in conjunction with our stair treads and handrail covers, a dark stairway becomes outlined in light at all critical surfaces.

Maximized Charging and Viewing Angle

Most pathways in buildings are narrow with ceiling lighting. If the active luminescent material is put flat against the wall, as with most photolumineescent flat against the wall, as with most photoluminescent system, only a portion of the available light is taken advatage of  for charging. The BurkeEmerge system aims the active material toward the light source, increasing both the brightness and the duration of illumination when the lights go out.

This optimum angle not only improves the performance of the active luminescent material, it improves viewing when standing or crawing.
Two Strip Pattern
The BurkeEmerge system uses two strips of photoluminescent material, not one. Having two strips provides distinctive pattern recognition, giving you a better reference for moving quickly to safety.
State-of-the-Art Pigment
Brightness and duration of illumination are primary in an effective passive illumination system. BurkeEmerge utilizes the strongest pigment available and blends it into a durable, maintenence-free material for year after year reliability.
Color Coordinated
Now you can have a color coordinated installation with the added safety of passive illumination. Standard colors include 161Off White, 323 Bluebonnet, 502 Brown, 660 Slate, and 701 Black. All colors of BurkeEmerge match available molded rubber, continuous length, and vinyl cove and carpet BurkeBase.
Straight, True Mounting Over Any Wall Base
BurkeEmerge is designed to be used with any new installation or as a retrofit over any existing wall base.

A mechanically-fastened flange is attached to the wall to ensure a straight, true alignment. Most systems utilize adhesive, resulting in a wavy and visually unacceptabe appearance.

Snap-in Attachment
Once the morning flange is secured to the wall it is a simple step to snap in the illumination strip. Now you have a straight secure safety system desighned to maximise charging and viewing.
Fits your Wall Base or Ours
The flexible material utilized for the BurkeEmerge system fits for a wide variety of wall base, including BurkeBase rubber and vinyl cove and carpet base.

1/2 Round
Fits over BurkeBase and any rubber or vinyl base on intitial instalation or as a retrofit. Also used around doors and exits where needed.
Arrows
Designed to be placed at intervals along pathways to indicate the direction to a safe exist.
1/4 Round
Fits over a variety of base materials including wood, ceramic, carpet, and others. Also used around doors and exits where applicable.

Stair Handrail
Adheres to stairway handrails for additional pathway recognition.

Stair Treads
Safety and Visually Impaired Smooth Surface treads, and Visually Impaired Rouleau Profile treads are available in the full selection of BurkeTread colors and patterns.
