MR-24^® ROOF SYSTEM

ROOF MOVEMENT

Roofs expand and contract with daily and seasonal temperature changes. Unless your roof is designed to accommodate this movement, fasteners will work loose on metal roofs and cracks, blisters and splits will appear on built-up roofs.

This clip allows the MR-24 roof system to expand and contract with changing conditions.

The MR-24 ^® roof system is specifically designed to accommodate roof movement. The system is attached to the building’s structure with a special clip and tab assembly formed into the double-lock seam. Because the tab can move within the clip, the entire roof can expand and contract freely without sacrificing structural integrity.

WEATHERTIGHTNESS

Butler’s exclusive Pittsburgh double-lock standing seam (left) assures you of consistent weathertight performance.

During installation, the edges of each roof panel are joined and roll-formed by machine, completing a full 360 degree seam. Inside the seam, a factory-applied sealant eliminates the chance for even tiny capillary leaks.

MR-24 ROOF SYSTEM
The MR-24 roof system is like a monolithic steel membrane, covering your entire building. The panels are joined together with a Pittsburgh double-lock standing seam, and fastened to the purlins with the unique clip formed into the seam. Independent surveys show that the MR-24 roof system is the most specified standing seam roof on the market, with over 1 billion square feet installed since its introduction in 1969.

When you have the best roof in the industry, it stands to reason you should also have the best warranty. So, the MR-24 roof system is available with a 20 year warranty, not just against perforation, but weathertightness as well.
