Since 1915, the name Cambridge has stood for excellence in the manufacture of wire cloth and wire cloth fabrications. Through the years, Cambridge has built an organization of extremely capable, highly experienced and skilled personnel whose extensive knowledge assures our customers of superior products and services.

Ours was always a narrow specialty, but in recent years we find our uncommon abilities have become increasingly rare. Although we have continued to hone our skills to new heights of quality and precision, our dedication to craftsmanship has become the exception rather than the rule in our field. As a result of these trends, today Cambridge finds itself to be one of the few producers of a full range of high quality, custom wire both cloth remaining in the United States, or anywhere in the world.

Our dedicated people really know their materials and their looms, and they test constantly for quality throughout each step of the manufacturing process. Each incoming shipment of wire is gauged for size and uniformity, then tested for tensile strength and alloy content. That's the only way to be absolutely sure that the raw material is exactly what was ordered from the manufacturer. During weaving, the tension of the warp and fill wires is carefully controlled, the regularity of openings is monitored and the mesh count is frequently measured for accuracy. Finished cloth is painstakingly inspected over light tables for overall conformity to weave and specifications, and to detect the slightest flaw.
