CCW-TOTAL-DRAIN
DRAINAGE SYSTEM |
DESCRIPTION
The CCW TOTAL-DRAIN System consists of a 12" wide high
profile drainage section with an integral transition section to couple it to standard
SURE-DRAIN composites. The high profile section has a larger open area than perforated
pipe to accept high flows from both the sheet drain and surrounding soils. The factory
manufactured transition between the high profile section and sheet drain assures a secure
drain path independent of field installation.
TOTAL-DRAIN consists of a highly compressive strength, high
impact polystyrene core covered on one side with a non-woven polypropylene filter fabric
and on the other with a solid polymeric film. The film provides extra protection for water
proofing membranes under high static loads.
TYPICAL USE
The TOTAL-DRAIN System is used to replace perforated
pipe/aggregate collection systems for drainage of foundation walls, retaining walls, and
tunnels. TOTAL-DRAIN's unique high profile water collection section directs collected
water to the drainage exits, eliminating the need for a separate drain system. This
improves the drain performance while saving both time and money.
ADVANTAGES
- Replaces conventional pipe and aggregate drains with a more
efficient drainage system.
- Faster installation and immediate backfill capability speeds
job completion.
- Lower installed cost than pipe, fabric and aggregate
methods.
- Provides a performed, continuous 100 gallon/minute flow path
from all wall areas to collection points.
- 12000lb./sq. ft. compressive strength ensures drainage
integrity during and after backfilling.
LIMITATIONS
- Consult Carlisle representatives for unusual soil
conditions. Hydrocarbon resistant versions of TOTAL-DRAIN and SURE-DRAIN composites are
also available.
- Not recommended for exposed conditions. Backfill should be
placed within 2 weeks to avoid damage.
- Construction traffic and equipment should not be allowed
directly on the TOTAL-DRAIN
