Century Marble - Page 18

CONSTRUCTION OF WHIRLPOOLS

Century Marble's whirlpool/tubs are a composition of approximately 80% refined marble (granite or onyx) combined with polyester resin and color pigments.

Tub surfaces are gel coated 20 mil, thick as compared to fiberglass and acrylic which is usually much less. The Century gel coat surface is highly stain resistant for long lasting durability and ease of maintenance. The material is easily repairable and fire rated. The product is 3/4" thick and very dense, resulting in its being quieter than cast iron, fiberglass or acrylic, when fitted with a whirlpool.

Your Century Marble whirlpool will be a source of comfort and pleasure to you for years to come. Our systems have been designed for maximum therapeutic value. Each whirlpool is equipped with six to twelve hydrajets, a timer, one or two air controls, anti-vortex suction, and UL listed pump. Before delivery, the whirlpool system is completely installed and water tested in our factory by trained personnel,

  • Pump: Super-quiet 3/4 or 1-1/2 horsepower, self-priming, self-lubricating, and UL listed. Pump stand is foam insulated from the ground to eliminate vibrations and sonic damage to floors or tile.
  • Timer: A 30 minute wall-mount timer is standard on all whirlpools. At the end of the pre-set time the action ceases automatically. For even more convenience, an optional deck mount switch is offered (with or without special water level sensor).
  • Piping: The piping system is constructed of rigid, schedule 40 P.V.C. pipe which has been tested and is a top performer.
  • Connections: Whirlpool system joints are bonded with a special welding solvent that creates watertight joints adding to the integrity of the total unit.

NOTE: ALL MODELS SHOWN ARE AVAILABLE WITHOUT WHIRLPOOLS FOR USE AS LUXURIOUS SOAKING TUBS.

SHOWER BASES

Century's shower bases are custom made to your specifications and can be made in most any shape and size including neo-angle. The bases have a textured floor and are designed with a slight slope for drainage. All custom shower bases are provided with a splash shield above the base to prevent leakage.

PANELS AND ACCESSORIES

Century Marble provides complete shower packages to harmonize with your bathroom design. A shower coordinated with your whirlpool and vanities will add the finishing touch to your bath ensemble. Century's seamless shower bases and wall panels will never crack, peel, blister, or leak and offer a dramatic improvement over ceramic tile or fiberglass. All shower bases, walls, seats and ledges are custom designed to your exact specifications. Showers cab be converted into an in-home steam room by installing a home steam generator.

Century's shower panels are made to fit the space in varying heights. The panels are 3/8" thick and can be glued directly to the drywall. Corner (cove) trim can be ordered to dress out the inside corners. Recessed shower caddies provide ledges for soap and various toiletries. See our "Accessory Sheet" showing photos and dimensions of our recessed soap holders, soap/shampoo caddy and shower shelf.

Century's marble, onyx or granite showers are more than just beautiful; they are also practical.  They are simple to install, easy to clean and resist soiling, stains and mildew. The beauty of the cultured marble is protected by a gel coat finish, creating a non-porous sanitary surface that is easy to keep clean with nonabrasive household cleansers.

See recessed accessories for complete shower package.
