BATH SHOWER WALLS 1.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
1.1 All unit type 3 - two bedroom split shall
be marble tub with skirt.
1.2 Unit type 3 - two bedroom split shall have
3/8" marble shower walls.
1.3 Note: Field verify all dimensions at all
different conditions.
1.4 Wall Mounted marble soap dish at each
room's shower walls.
2. PRODUCTS, GENERAL
2.1 Provide cultured marble products equal to
Century Marble, 3525 S.R. 32 West, Westfield, in 46074. Shall meet or exceed all quality
requirements of CMI LS2-76, "Property and Performance Standard for Cultured Marble
Lavatories", as published by the Cultured Marble Institute, or American National
Standards Institute (ANSI) Z 124. Cultured Marble manufacturer shall submit evidence of
CMI Certification as part of bid or proposal.
2.2 Colors: To be selected by owner.
3. MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS
3.1 Clean only with manufacturer's recommended
cleaner.
4. INSPECTION
4.1 Examine surfaces to receive marble work and
conditions under which marble will be installed. Do not proceed with marble work until
surfaces and conditions comply with requirements indicated in referenced marble
installation standard. Ensure substrate is level and flat.
5. INSTALLATION, GENERAL
5.1 Installation shall be as per industry
standard: Published by the Cultured Marble Institute or American National Standards
Institute (ANSI) Z 124.
5.2 Accurately form intersection and returns.
Perform cutting and fitting of marble without marring visible surfaces. Carefully find cut
edges of marble abutting jambs, finish or built-in items for level and straight fir.
5.3 Used approved sealant adhesives as
recommended by manufacturer.
5.4 Seal all abutting joints with silicone
based sealant.
6. CLEANING AND PROTECTION
6.1 Cleaning: Upon completion of placement and
gluing, clean all new marble surfaces so they are free of foreign matter. |
