| SECTION 09455-MARBLE TOPS 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
1.1 Provide all units bathroom's with marble vanity
tops and end splashes.
1.2 Each marble vanity top will have molded vanity
bowl.
1.3 Deliver and install in each unit respectively.
Clean up all packing and delivery construction debris and dispose of off site.
1.4 Installation of above items is under Section
12390, or as directed by General Contractor.
2. PRODUCTS
2.1 Marble Tops: With pre-formed sink, poured
cultured marble, standard color with splash.
2.2 Product Performance: Products shall meet or
exceed the technical requirements of regulatory agencies. Product performance shall
include structure, water resistance, colorfastness, cleanability, thermal shock
resistance, and quality in materials and workmanship. Warranties equal to industry
standards.
2.3 Provide cultured marble products equal to Century
Marble, 3525 S.R. 32 West, Westfield, IN 46074 of the size and type illustrated. Units
shall meet or exceed all equality requirements of CMI LS2-76, "Property and
Performance Standard for Cultured Marble Lavatories", as published by the Cultured
Marble Institute, or American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z 124, Cultured Marble
manufacturer shall submit evidence of CMI certification as part of bid or proposal.
2.4 Color: To be selected by owner.
3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Counter Tops: Attach counter tops securely to
base units as recommended by manufacturer, and provide concealed mechanical clamping
joint.
3.2 Provide cutouts for fixture installation.
3.3 Caulk splash edge at counter top intersection
perimeter with silicone type sealant..
3.4 Replace any defective or damaged tops
rejected by construction project representative. |
