Care of Cultured Marble

Installer-Plumber: Please attach this information sheet inside vanity door

Important Note: Hot water temperature should not exceed 140.

Normal Care:

Clean with soap and water or a non-abrasive cleaner such as: Gel  Gloss Lysol Tub & Tile Cleaner, or Dow Bathroom Cleaner, etc.

Stain Removal:

Hard Water Scale & Rust: Use a mild vinegar and water solution, followed by Gel Gloss.

Grease & Oil: Use kerosene or mineral spirits rinse/wipe off with soap and water. Go over lightly with Gel Gloss.

Mold & Mildew: Use a diluted solution of bleach or Lysol, rinse with soap and water. Never let pure bleach come into contact with cultured marble.

Hair dye or Shoe polish: Use Gel Gloss.

Cigarette stains: Use an abrasive cleanser applied with a toothbrush. Polish with polishing compound or Gel Gloss.

Minor surface scratches can be buffed out using the polishing compound. Deeper scratches can be buffed out using the polishing compound. Deeper scratches or burns require light sanding with a wet 600 grit sandpaper. Sand lightly with a circular motion in as confined an area as possible. Wet area amply while sanding. Buff with polishing compound.

Small chips can be repaired by applying clear nail polish. Allow to dry completely, then follow the instructions for sanding out scratches.

Protect your cultured marble from bleach, peroxide, Drano, Sani-flush, fingernail polish remover and polish, Comet, Ajax, Soft-Scrub or any other abrasive-type cleaner.

Your Century Marble cultured marble product is a quality benchmark in the cultured marble industry. With a minimum of care, you will have many happy years to enjoy its beauty.
