Radiance - Page 4

Can I paint over vinyl wall coverings?

Yes, if you first prime the covering using a primer designed for priming vinyl wall covering.

Can ceiling texture or panels be coated?

Yes.  Acoustics will not be affected.   Spot prime any water spots or stains using an appropriate rinse.

Can I use my current mixing equipment?

Like James Bond would say, "Shaken, not stirred". "Shake" Radiance; do not mix with paddle.

Do I need to prime?

You will not normally need to prime if going over previously painted surfaces.  Follow regular precautions.  If a surface needs to be primed, most commercially available primers will work.  If in doubt, call Radiance Technical Services.

How may coats?

Radiance Low-E Wall Finish is a premium latex product, so one coat is sufficient over previously painted or primed surfaces.   Radiance Low-E Wall Finish must be the outer coat.

What is the coverage rate?

350-400 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on the surface porosity.  Heavily textured surfaces will be much less.

Is it washable?

Yes, comparable to a quality latex wall paint.

Will more than one-coat increase savings?

No. Only one coat is needed.  Additional coats will not increase savings.

APPLICATION - TECHNIQUE:

How is it applied?

By roller, sprayer or brush.  Use a 3/16 or 3/8" synthetic roller cover.

How thickly do I apply?

4 wet mils, drying to 2 mils.

Will it wear down the nozzle tip if I use a sprayer?

No more than conventional paint.
