surface contaminants by washing with an appropriate cleaner. Fill all cracks and nail
holes with patching paste or spackle. Allow to dry and sand smooth. Joint

commercial latex primer.

materials and cures. Fill all open block or rough surfaces with block filler.

diluted with 1 gallon of water. Wash and rinse until clean. Prime with an
alkyd type primer.

semi-gloss or gloss finishes. Remove all contaminants by washing with an appropriate
cleaner. Patch and fill holes and cracks as required. Spot prime all unpainted
areas with the appropriate primer.
Mildew: Mildew must be
removed before painting. Wash surfaces with a solution of 1 quart household bleach
in 3 quarts warm water. Wear rubber gloves and protective clothing. Apply the
solution and scrub the mildewed area. Allow the solution to remain on the surface
