Radiance
VOLUME 3 FEB. 1998 Dreaming of Radiance
As a child, your room is your kingdom - a place to hide, play or sleep the night away with your night-light glowing in the corner. It is also the place of mythical monsters in the closet or goblins under the bed. While these may be a figment of your childish imagination, staying warm and snug in your bed is a definite reality. Just ask Ramona Byrne of Chanhassen, Minn. "In our split-entry home, my child's bedroom is the furthest from the furnace on the Northwest end of the house," Byrne says. "It used to be freezing in there all winter long." Used to? "Yes, I decided to put Radiance on the walls and ceiling to see if the room could get more comfortable," Byrne says. "You see, not only is it the coldest room during the winter, but it is also the hottest during the summer." "Radiance worked great. I applied it in September of last year and the difference is startling," Byrne continues. "I can walk into my child's room in the middle of the night and the room feels warmer. Even when we close the door, the room stays warm." Good news for those of us enduring harsh Minnesota winters. "Plus, it applied easily on the walls and the color looks great," Byrne says. "I just followed the directions." "As soon as I get a chance, I'm going to put Radiance wherever I can - the living room, dining room, hallways," she says. Now that radiance is taking care of the walls and ceiling, those pesky monsters and goblins will be able to stay nice and cozy. Out with the Old, In with Radiance Big Bird posters. Mickey Mouse wallpaper. Superman bed sheets. These items are often perfect for a toddler's bedroom. But keeping up with a child's growth, not to mention taste in design, is about as easy as running a marathon. After the first mile, you feel like giving up. |
