Out with the Old
Radiance gives the Petries' home a more
contemporary feel.
Chris Petrie of South St. Paul, Minn. had that
problem. Her 13-year-old daughter's bedroom walls were covered by a brightly colored
mural straight from Sesame Street, and the room was above the garage, keeping it cold and
drafty.
"My daughter was looking for a change," Petrie
says. "And so was I. The walls were bright orange, red and green, plus the room was
cold."
"We tried covering the walls with several paint
products, and none of them worked," Petrie continues. "I knew about Radiance and
decided to use it."
Using just one coat of Radiance with an eg-shel finish,
Petrie covered the mural easily, making the bright colors disappear without a trace.
Not only did the finished product look good, the room felt much more comfortable.
"All winter long her room stayed cold because it's
directly over our garage," she says. "With Radiance on the walls, you can
definitely feel a difference. The chill in the air is gone."
Petrie also used Radiance in the bathroom with similar
results. She plans to use it in every room in the house.
"It really works", Petrie says. With

Little Alec and Angela Aument are too young to appreciate
the benefits of Radiance, but their parents are happy enough for the whole family.
Last year, their dad applied Radiance to the 3-year-old Minnesota twins' bedrooms - one
pink, one blue. And the results have made them see double; the family is
experiencing twice the benefit of the ordinary paint.
"First, Radiance looks great," says father Mark.
"It covers just as well as any premium paint, and the kids love the colors."
"And, the rooms are a lot more comfortable," says
mother Jan. "There's a huge difference between what their rooms were like before and
how they feel now. When we first applied Radiance, I thought I was imagining
how evenly heated and cooled their rooms felt. But it's definitely real."
The Auments say Radiance eliminated pockets of cold and hot
temperatures. "We used to feel a little bit of a chill, especially if you were
walking around in shorts," mark says. "But now the kids' rooms are so
comfortable. It feels like an even temperature around your body."
"My daughter doesn't even sleep with a blanket
anymore," Jan says.
And, Mark Aument reports that Radiance has cut the family's
heating and cooling bills. "We've been able to set the air conditioning higher
in the summer, and the furnace lower in the winter."
