STEP 1:
After completing STEP 3 in the fabrication section, select the cutout template desired and
place onto the correct specified location to be mounted.
STEP 2:
To secure template, the use of clamps or hot glue will be needed. If tip outs are used
remember to add to the depth. EK-5 and EK-6 sinks will not work with tip outs *in sink
base cabinet.
STEP 3:
After template is secured, set up a router with a I" outside diameter collar and a
3/8" plunge bit. Follow the template in a clockwise direction when cutting.
STEP 4:
When cutout is complete, remove template and debris from area.
STEP 5:
Using your bowl under cutting bit, follow the edge of the cutout and remove what is needed
to get a flat smooth seaming area. Usually not more than 1/8".
STEP 6:
Turn counter top over and level off any remaining high spots with a small grinder or
router leveling system.
STEP 7:
Place sink into position and check fit. Some trimming of the sink lip flange may be
required to insure a good fit. Always make sure to position the sink as square as
possible.
STEP 8:
To keep the sink from moving when gluing into place, attach 4-6 small wood blocks on 2
comers opposite of each other with the use of hot glue. Make sure that all blocks are
touching the sink.
STEP 9:
Once blocks are secure, gently remove sink and clean both the counter top and rim of sink
as directed in STEP 4 of the fabrication guide.
