House pays homage to greek Revival architecture, a style that dominated the main street
and back roads of much of America from 1830 to 1860. Furnished by Hickory Chair Co., our
adaptation combines the custom craftsmanship and fine woodworking that are the hallmarks
of the style with an open floor plan that has been updated for the '90s living. 
The kitchen, which opens onto the family room,
features stained birch cabinetary handcrafted by Heritage and an island that also serves
as breakfast bar. Deep cabinets above the refrigerator increase the kitchen's storage
space as they give that appliance a built-in look. Hanging cabinets with glass inserts
provide room for displaying collectibles.
