"People no longer will devote a big space in their homes to fancy furniture which is rarely used. Yet they don't want a cheap plastic laminate table. There's a real migration...toward casual furniture that's well -designed. That's what's driving our business.

"We've sold a lot of CORIAN^®, and most of it has been in a casual, very contemporary style. But there's nothing about CORIAN^® as a material that says it has to be contemporary. Most of the homes in the U.S. have traditional, country-style kitchens. So working on softer, more traditional country interpretations of furniture design with CORIAN^® is an important avenue for us. The opportunity for success is there."
