Eye-Opening Experience
Visitors at the CORIAN® exhibit at the 1996 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) were
greeted by an expansive, free-standing wall of CORIAN® in ten custom colors (left). The exhibit was
designed by Jim Biber, AIA, partner in Pentagram Architecture, an international design
consultancy. For Biber, it was an eye-opening experience. "Working with the material
has absolutely changed my perceptions," Biber said. "CORIAN® has its own unique look and
offers design capabilities and vast color options that are not attainable with most other
materials."

Old Masters Meet Modern Material
The CORIAN® exhibit at ICFF paid homage to famous 20th Century furniture designers by
reinterpreting their designs in CORIAN®. Designs included the 1903 Hill House Chair by Charles Rennie Mackintosh
(right) and the 1934 Schroder Table and Zig-Zag Chair by Gerrit Thomas Reitveld (bottom).
