CONCRETE REINFORCING
STEEL INSTITUTE
DESIGN COMPETITION
Over the years, CRSI has honored distinguished architects,
engineers, contractors and developers. From residences to educational facilities to unique
office buildings, these awards honor the outstanding designs which use the qualities of
cast-in-place reinforced concrete.
The versatile, economic and structural excellence shown by this
year's winners will inspire others to explore the design possibilities offered by
reinforced concrete. We thank the Jury for their valuable judgement in evaluating each
entry in the 1998 Design Awards Competition.
SELECTING THE
WINNERS The criteria used in evaluating each entry includes
architectural design, engineering achievement, functional excellence and construction
economy. The Jury also weighs the efficiency in use of materials and each structure's
relationship to its environment.
WINNERS SHARE EQUALLY
IN THE AWARDS All Design Awards
winners are considered equal in their achievements. Each entry is judged on an equal basis
with no categories of award recognition, regardless of size or type of structure.
