STANDARD AND PRE-FINISHED PRESSURE-TREATED WOOD

csi05c.JPG (13751 bytes)

Outdoor projects built with SUPATIMBER™ pressure-treated wood last up to ten times longer than those constructed with ordinary, untreated wood. Its protection penetrates deep to the heart of the wood to fight rot, decay, and termite attack.

Clean and odor-free SUPATIMBER pressure-treated wood can be painted, stained or left to weather to a natural grey color. Quality is ensured by third-party, independent monitoring. SUPATIMBER pressure-treated wood is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

DESIGNWOOD is pressure-impregnated with a luxurious Redwood color. Its distinctive look comes from a pressure-treatment process where color and preservatives are added to fight rot, decay and termite attack. Available in some areas with built-in UltraWood® water repellent.

No need to apply expensive and time-consuming paints or stains after the project is completed. Saves time and money. Guaranteed with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. DESIGNWOOD provides a beautiful, prefinished appearance that instantly enhances the look of any outdoor structure!

With its Redwood appearance, DESIGNWOOD will age gracefully with warm, tan tones. Eventually, it will become silver-grey like weathered cedar. Many prefer this. But, for those who wish to prolong its color, a water repellent or semi-transparent stain can be applied. A water repellent will help reduce checking and splitting. Better still, in some areas you can select DESIGNWOOD that contains UltraWood water repellent. Its protection against splitting and checking is built-in during the pressure-treatment process.

Specify SUPATIMBER or DESIGNWOOD by size and retention of preservatives desired.

PRECAUTIONS
SUPATIMBER and DESIGNWOOD pressure-treated wood contain waterborne arsenical preservatives. Like all CCA pressure-treated wood, certain precautions should be taken in using and handling the wood. Additional information is available in Consumer Information Sheets which are found at any dealer selling pressure-treated wood.

When DESIGNWOOD is cut, planed or drilled, exposed wood will need an application of wood preservative. Apply SUPATIMBER Wood Preservative. It's a copper naphthenate preservative with a specially prepared colorant to match DESIGNWOOD. No applicator's license is required for use.

APPLICATIONS
Refer to chart of preservative retentions for various applications. Use outdoors above the ground, in ground contact, and for marine landscaping, and other residential, institutional, and commercial applications.
