The REVOLUTION, the new mortise lock from
Door Opening Systems, represents a "revolutionary" new approach to the way the
contract hardware industry looks at mortise locks.
We've broken with the past by taking the
traditional mortise lock and re-thinking the way it works.
Instead of a separate lock case for each
of the 15 available lock functions, we have combined these functions into only two (2)
cases; one deadbolt stock case and one latchbolt stock case. All functions are accessible
without removing the case cover!
If the case cover of the new REVOLUTION
DM 1 lock were removed, fundamental changes would be revealed:
• Reduced number of springs
• Reduced number of moving parts
• Self deadlocking deadbolt assembly
• One piece retractor/hub with
direct drive to the latchbolt
• New concept stopworks assembly
distributes torque forces into compression instead of shear
• Redesigned deadlocking feature on
the latchbolt is immediate, without traditional free travel
• Once cylinder cam used in all
functions
We've re-engineered the way to change
handing. No more removing the case and reversing numerous parts. With our simplified
method, remove one screw and reverse the stainless steel latchbolt through the backplate.
It's that easy. Our stainless steel stopworks is reversible through the armorplate. The
traditional mortise lock requires removing the case cover and a multitude of parts,
reassembling and reattaching the cover.
