CODE ACCEPTABILITY, CERTIFICATION
The submitted 8’ 0” by 10’ 0” Extruded Aluminum Door Frame, when
mounted in a steel stud gypsum wallboard partition with a minimum thickness of three and
three eighths (3-3/8) inches using the frame attachment described in this report, complies
with the conditions of acceptance of UBC 43.2 and CSEM 43.7 Test Standards. This assembly
is eligible for listing and labeling under the Warnock Hersey International, Inc.,
Follow-Up Factory Inspection Program.
AVAILABILITY
Standard lead time for Door Opening Systems products is 7-10 working days from receipt of
approved shop drawings. Custom color lead time is 4 weeks from color approval.
WARRANTY
Seller expressly warrants all components manufactured by seller to be free of defects in
material and workmanship subject to the following terms, conditions and limitations: (a)
The components must be used under normal conditions and service; (b) The warranty is for a
term of (1) year from date of shipment; (c) The Seller’s only liability for breach of
this expressed warranty is, at Seller’s cost, to replace such defective components.
Materials used or installed cannot be returned for credit unless approved in writing, by
us or our agents.
ORDERING
Door Opening Systems requires the following information: Rough opening: Door Width +
1-1/2”, Door Height +3/4”, throat, swing, butt location, strike location, type
of strike Cyl. Corbin or A.S.A., type of finish.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Pre-finished knocked down aluminum door
frame consisting of separate strike and/or
hinge jamb and header as manufactured by
Door Opening Systems.
PART I. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
1. Extruded from 6063T5 aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of .062.
2. To be supplied with anodized surface of clear, bronze or black or a specified baked
enamel.
3. Manufactured to receive 4-1/2” x 4-1/2” square hinges.
4. Supplied with pre-finished mitered or butt cut snap-on aluminum casing.
5. Supplied with 1/8” thick aluminum strike and hinge back up, mounted on jambs.
6.Supplied with notch at top of jamb and corner brackets to provide a correct alignment
with header and add to the strength and dimensional stability of the joint.
7.Manufactured to receive a standard 2-3/4” Cylindrical, 3-1/4” Corbin, or
4-7/8” A.S.A. strike.
8.Supplied also with vinyl or mohair mute in black, gray, or white.
9.Frame to be available for 1-3/4” door thickness.
10.All door frames 3” throat and up, can be labeled with a 20 minute fire label and
can be used where walls are required to be of 1 hour construction. (U.B.C. Section 3304g
