Standard Hollow Metal Frames
All steel hollow metal door frames are engineered and
manufactured to meet the varying architectural specifications and design requirements for
commercial, industrial and institutional projects.
Standard doors:
- 1-3/4" (45mm) in thickness, avaialble in 20, 18, 16 and
14 gauge
- Door sinks are mechanically interlocked along the vertical
hinge and lock edges (14 gauge doors are full weld seam only)
- Designed with a 1/8" (3mm) in 2" (50mm) bevel for
ease of fit and operation
- Door face sheets are premium qaulity panel flat tension
levelled and are flush and free from any seams or joints
Hollow metal doors are avaialble with various types of
cores, all bonded under pressure.

Honeycomb
High density paper honeycomb core. 1" cell size (standard core)Polystyrene
Rigid polystyrene board - R value = 6.5
Ployurethane
rigid polyurethane board - R value = 11.1
Temperature Rise
rigid mineral board - temperature rise rated
for 450F (250c) at 60 minutes.
Steel Stiffened
20 gauge - 0.35" (9 mm) vertical steel stiffeners laminated or spot welded on 6"
centers - optional void filters available are honecomb (standard), fiberglass, polystyrene
and polyurethane.
Material specifications:
- Standard coating - Hot dipped galvanized steel (wipe coat)
to ASTM A653-B, coating A 25 (ZF75), 0.25 oz/ft2 (75 gm2)
- Optional coatings - G90 (ZF2275)
