Suggested Specifications Units

Unit housing construction will be flame-rated, UV stable, ABS thermoplastic in textured (white) (black) finish. Lamp housings shall be constructed of flame-rated, UV stable polycarbonate in matching finish. Unit design will allow universal 120/277 VAC, 60 Hz operation standard. Emergency illumination will be provided by (two integral) (two integral and one remote) 5-watt (high-output) (very high-output) halogen lighting heads. Units shall be designed to mount to 3½" or 4" octagon, 4" square or standard plaster rings. A universal knockout pattern shall be provided in the unit back plate for mounting to utility boxes. Emergency components will include a solid-state, constant voltage, current-limited type battery charger, a maintenance-free, pure-lead battery, an AC-On LED indicator light and a test switch. The unit charger will be capable of recharging the battery within acceptable UL time standards. Emergency operation must be provided for a minimum of (2 hours) (90 minutes). Units must comply with all UL 924 (UL Damp Location) and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements.

Tandem Model Exit Sign

Tandem unit/exit sign models will be provided factory assembled. Exit sign construction will be flame-rated, UV stable, ABS thermoplastic in textured (white) (black) finish to match unit. Exit face will provide 6" high letters with ¾" stroke and snap-in, chevron type directional arrows. Normal AC illumination will be provided by (red) (green) high-output LEDs consuming less than 3 watts at 120 or 277 VAC. Normal LED lamp life will be in excess of 20 years. Exit letters will provide twice the lumen output and 10 times the illumination uniformity required by 1998 UL specifications. Exits will be (single) (universal single/double) face. Mounting canopies will be provided with all models and will be of identical construction and color to match the exit frame. Exit signs must comply with all UL 924 (UL Damp Location) and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements. Optional equipment will include:
