Duron Paints & Wall coverings is a rapidly expanding, privately-owned corporation which manufactures top-quality architectural paints, light industrial coatings and specialty coatings. In addition, Duron distributes a full selection of sundry items, spray equipment and wallcoverings.

HISTORY Founded in 1949, Duron maintains its corporate headquarters and primary manufacturing plant in Beltsville, Maryland, nine miles from the heart of Washington, D.C.The 400,000 square-foot plant was built in 1979, incorporating innovative technology to maximize and productivity. The plant averages production of over 200,000 gallons of paint per week, and over 12 million gallons annually. In 1988, Duron constructed a second manufacturing plant, in Atlanta, Georgia.This state-of-the-art 175,000 square-foot facility currently has the capacity to produce 6 million gallons of latex paint annually.This plant was designed for easy modular expansion as required by future market demands.

MANUFACTURING Duron manufactures a complete line of coatings formulated for the professional painter. Included are specialized products for residential construction, property management, institutional maintenance, light industrial and quality-conscious home



owners.The manufacturing division is supported by experienced purchasing, research and development and quality control teams.Together they produce the high-quality products professionals can count on, time after time.

DISTRIBUTION Duron distributes products through a system of over 200 company-owned stores (including special contractor service centers) and a network of over 150 independent dealers.This distribution is backed by a field sales force of nearly 200 professional representatives, who are in turn supported by a product services staff and innovative marketing group. Duron's current market area includes all states east of the Mississippi River, with heavy concentrations of stores in major metropolitan areas.

COLOR SERVICES
Duron provides computerized color matching and expert technical assistance for all your color needs. Many of our stores are equipped with computerized color matching. They work closely with our Color Services departments in Beltsville and Atlanta to solve your color questions quickly and accurately. Call extension 3618 for assistance.

PRODUCT SERVICES
Duron's experienced technical staff provides help in product selection, surface preparation, application suggestions and problem solving. Our Product Services representatives have extensive field experience and technical expertise, making their evaluations and recommendations that much more valuable. WALLCOVERINGS DIVISION
As the distributor of many national brands of contract wallcoverings, Duron offers a wide array of 27" and 54" vinyls, as well as an extensive offering of textile wallcoverings. Call extension 3383 for assistance.

MILLENNIUM COLORS
Duron's professional color collection offers over 1,400 shades of today's most popular colors. Any color can be custom mixed in interior or exterior products and in both water-based and solvent-based coatings.The collection is sampled by way of a traditional fan deck, as well as a full designer/architectural kit. SHEEN & GLOSS LEVELS

SHEEN:
The amount of light reflected from a surface, detected from a low angle. Duron Paints "Sheen" levels are as follows, Flat finish 0-5%, Low sheen 10-20%, Eggshell finish 25-35%.

GLOSS:
The amount of light reflected from a surface, viewed from any angle. Duron Paints "Gloss" levels are as follows, Semi-Gloss 50-60%, Gloss 65-75%, High-Gloss 80+%.

Reference numbers suggest relative percentages of the amount of light reflected from a surface: e.g., 0-5 very low reflection; 80+% very high reflection.
