High-range blast resistant door
Electric Power Door designs and manufactures
heavy-duty swinging, sliding and vertical lifting blast resistant doors. Blast doors are
custom engineered to handle all situations from very low to very high range blast loads.
These doors can be provided with power operators, special hardware, weathering, subframes
for imbedding, and other optional equipment.
Fire labeled, Blast Resistant Doors are available in
single and double swing styles for low- and mid-range blasts. They carry a three-hour
label and have been tested in accordance to ASTM E-152, CAN4 S-104, CSFM, 12-43-4, NFPA
252, UBC 43.2 and UL-10b standards. for additional protection interior insulation can be
provided to reduce the exterior temperature rise to the lowest value measured in the
industry.

Shield doors
Sliding blast resistant door
Shield doors are generally utilized in radiation
protection applications and custom designed to fit the project requirements. Shield doors
can be swinging, top-hung horizontal sliding, bottom rolling horizontal sliding, or
vertical sliding and are furnished complete with panels, guides, hardware, opening frames
(for swing doors), controls, and operators.
Shield doors are generally constructed of heavy-duty
structural steel shapes and/or steel plate. Other panel construction includes the use of
structural steel framed panels filled with lead, borated polyethylene or concrete.
Hydraulic or electromechanical operating systems are
available for power operation. Special seals such as for RFI/EMI requirements can be
provided.
