RUBEROID 20/30FR offers dual protection because of it's two ply system. The first ply, RUBEROID 20, has as its core a strong fiberglass mat. This base ply can be used over most decks and roof insulations on slopes up to 3 inches per foot. RUBEROID 30 FR, the top ply, also uses a strong fiberglass mat. Both plies are coated with SBS-modified asphalt, formulated to give the overall system a UL Class A rating without the need for additional gravel or coatings. RUBEROID 30FR is surfaced with mineral granules offering weathering protection for the SBS modified asphalt used in the system. In addition to its use in a combined system, RUBEROID 20 can be used as a component in other modified bitumen systems. Typical Physical Properties
RUBEROID 20/30 FR tested per ASTM D-2523 as a two-ply roofing system meets or exceeds the NIST Building Sciences Series 167 Interim Criteria for Polymer Modified Bituminous Roofing membrane materials for strain energy of 3 lbf-in/in² in the weaker direction of the membrane at 0ºF.

RUBEROID Modified Base Sheet is a premium, glass fiber reinforced, SBS-modified base sheet. It is designed for use in both mop-applied modified bitumen and built-up roofing systems, as well as with all deck types. It may be mechanically attached to nailable decks, spot mopped to non-nailable decks, or solid mopped where appropriate.
