GAFGLAS Ply 4 Felts

Description:
GAFGLAS Ply 4 roofing felt is constructed with a strong glass fiber mat that is coated with high quality asphalt, and is designed with optimum porosity to assure a sound, watertight membrane.

Uses:
GAFGLAS Ply 4 is used as a ply felt in the construction of built-up roofs. It is designed for use in all climatic zones and is appropriate for use as a base sheet, as a ply felt, and in the construction of flashing membranes.

Advantages:
· High tensile strength and a high degree of dimensional stability, resulting in a roof system with greater resistance to splitting and cracking.
· Optimum porosity of the felt provides ready escape of air while allowing proper asphalt penetration at the time of mopping.
· Asphalt coating provides high degree of moisture resistance.
· Wind uplift resistance-selected roofing assemblies using GAFGLAS Ply 4 felts meet FMRC Class 1-180 when installed over concrete decks.
· Meets requirements for application in all climatic zones.
· Rolls out flat for easy installation.

Applicable Standards:
· UL Approved for use in the construction of Class A, B, or C roofs (Type G1 BUR)
· FMRC Approved; see current guide
· ASTM D-2178, Type IV

GAFGLAS PLY 6® Felts

Description:
GAFGLAS PLY 6 is a premium grade roofing felt. It is constructed with a strong, heavyweight glass fiber mat that is coated with the finest quality asphalt, and is designed with optimum porosity to assure a sound, watertight membrane.

Uses:
Used as a ply felt in the construction of premium quality built-up roofs. It is required as the key component in 15- and 20-year Liberty Guaranteed roof systems. Designed for use in all climatic zones and is appropriate for use as a base sheet, as a ply felt, and in the construction of flashing membranes.

Advantages:
· Guarantees available for up to 20 years.
· Superior tensile strength and a high degree of dimensional stability, with greater resistance to splitting and cracking.
· Optimum porosity of the felt provides ready escape of air while allowing proper asphalt penetration at the time of mopping.
· Premium quality asphalt coating provides highest degree of moisture resistance.
· Selected roofing assemblies using GAFGLAS PLY 6 felts meet FMRC Class 1-180 when installed over concrete decks.

GAFGLAS Flashing

Description:
GAFGLAS Flashing is a strong, heavily asphalt-coated, glass fiber mat flashing sheet. Available in 36-inch width.

Uses:
GAFGLAS Flashing is ideal for use in the construction of base flashings for built-up roofs.

Advantages:
· Long-term guarantees are available for up to 20 years.
· Excellent tensile strength.
· Dimensionally stable; will not rot, curl, or shrink.
