METALASTIC® Expansion Joint Covers

Metalastic expansion joint covers are factory fabricated assemblies, made with a highly modified polymer bellows cover. Made in long-length coils, they are the fastest-installing, highest quality expansion joint covers available.

Uses
Metalastic expansion joint covers are used to cover structural expansion joint openings:
· Where roof span is larger than 150' in any direction
· Where support and/or roof assembly change direction
· Where types of adjoining materials change
· At locations where an addition is made to a structure

Advantages (All Styles)
· Available in standard lengths of 50' and 100', with custom lengths up to 250'.
· Eliminates up to 90% of field splices!
· No joints of folded metal to hold or channel water.
· Splice joints or damage repairs can be hot air welded-even years after installation.
· Heavy reinforced flexible cover with proven weatherability from edge to edge.
· Can be used with most membrane types or single ply systems.
· Supplied with galvanized nailing strips, with optional copper, aluminum, or stainless steel.
· Factory fabricated transitions made to order.
· Comes with 11/2" ring shanked galvanized nails (copper or aluminum nails provided on special order).

Curb Mount Flange
(CMF)

CMF Advantages
· Reinforced flexible flashing forms to the curbs, with 1-1/2" wide metal nailing strips protected under the flashing.
· No bent metal flanges to require splices every 10'.
· Smooth hinge area where nailers meet bellows, preventing a water dam.
· Nailing flanges conform to curb irregularities and angles without effort.
· Can be made up to 39" wide with 4" bellows or other standard bellow sizes.
· Can be supplied with pre-applied butyl tape on nailers.

Curb to Wall
(CTW)

CTW Advantages
· Provides a 4" wide nailer on the wall side and a CMF style flexible flange on the other.
· Smooth hinge area where nailers meet bellows, preventing a water dam.
· Nailing flanges conform to curb irregularities and angles without effort. No bent metal to force short lengths, excessive splices, and handling problems.
· Can be made up to 39" wide with 4" bellows or other standard bellow sizes.
· Can be supplied with pre-applied butyl tape on nailers.

Straight Metal Flange
(SMF)*

SMF Advantages
· Used for wide cant-to-cant applications.
· Fastest installing expansion joint available.
· Smooth hinge area where nailers meet bellows, preventing a water dam.
· Stripping in flanges with layers of felt is optional.
· Can be supplied with pre-applied butyl tape on nailers.

*Formerly Protected Metal Flange (PMF)

Low Profile
(LP)

LP Advantages
· Used for low profile cant-to-cant applications.
· Low incline cants help reduce air turbulence and wind borne debris.
· Smooth hinge area prevents a water dam.
· Flexible flanges conform to irregularities and angles without effort.
· Can be made up to 39" wide with 4" bellows or other standard bellow sizes.
· Can be supplied with pre-applied butyl tape on nailers.
· No exposed metal.
