ONE WAY VENT

DESCRIPTION
A Metalastic One Way Vent is a pressure relieving vent consisting of a one piece spun aluminum vent pre-flashed with a RUBEROID® modified bitumen membrane.

Internally, the Metalastic One Way Vent contains a neoprene valve that allows moisture vapor pressure to exit the roof system without allowing moisture to enter through the valve.

Metalastic One Way Vents are 4 in. (101.6 mm) in diameter.

Metalastic One Way Vents are flashed with either APP or SBS modified bitumen membranes, smooth or colored granule services, to accommodate most built-up and modified bitumen roofing projects.

Packaging: Five pre-flashed units per box.

RECOMMENDED USES
The Metalastic One Way Vent is commonly used in re-roofing applications to release any pressure buildup that may be caused by trapped air or moisture in the existing roof. Blisters caused by moisture trapped in roofing system can be prevented or reduced by using Metalastic One Way Vents (they are not to be used for drying out wet roof areas).

Metalastic One Way Vents allow for continual release of pressure from within the systems, while maintaining the water-tight integrity from the outside.

These Vents are typically used at the rate of one vent per 1,000 square feet of square feet of roof surface, or as specified by the roofing material manufacturer or system specifier.

ADVANTAGES
Spun aluminum design eliminates seams and joints.

Application is quick and easy, saving labor costs.

Allows crew to complete detail work as job progresses.

Available with pre-flashed modified bitumen membranes ready for installation with built-up, torch, hot asphalt and cold adhesive applications.

Factory flashed Metalastic Vents promote quality by eliminating call backs and leaving neat, uniform flashing details.

PAN

DESCRIPTION

A Metalastic Pre-Flashed Pan is a primed, two piece metal enclosure, built to snap together around penetrations. The Metalastic Pan is then filled with a pourable sealant which seals irregular penetrations through the roof membrane.

mp5a.gif (23537 bytes)
Metalastic Pans are 6 in. (152.4 mm) x 6 in. (152.4 mm) and 4 in. (101.6 mm) high. Custom sizes are also available.

Metalastic Pre-Flashed Pans are pre-flashed with either RUBEROID® Torch or RUBEROID® Mop modified bitumen membranes, smooth or colored granule surfaces, to accommodate most built-up and modified bitumen roofing projects.

Available in stainless, copper and aluminum for use in 15 and 20 year Liberty guaranteed systems.

Packaging: Five pre-flashed pans per box.

RECOMMENDED USES
Allows for enclosure of difficult flashing areas including guide wires, antennas, sign supports and equipment stands.

Easily installed as a retrofit pan to repair or replace leaking detail flashing areas.

ADVANTAGES
Two-piece construction allows for flashing of protrusions without heavy lifting of units, cutting of wires or disconnection of cables.

Saves time and labor expenses through ease of installation and reduction of call backs.

Offers neat and uniform appearance of an often messy detail.
