RUBEROID PlazaDeck Roofing

A Durable Roof Membrane

Roofing systems installed beneath surfacing materials that are designed for walkable roof applications have special roof membrane requirements.

The roof membrane must be exceptionally strong and durable, with the redundancy of multiple layers. For most walkable roof applications, the removal of the surfacing materials in order to expose the roof membrane for inspection, leak location, and repair is difficult and costly. For many applications, the act of removing surfacing material can itself result in damage to the roof membrane. Unlike at-grade or below-grade waterproofing applications, for which some minor leakage can often be tolerated, walkable roof applications are usually located over finished building areas where even minor leakage is to be avoided. The installation of a superior roof membrane is the prudent approach.

All Ruberoid® PlazaDeck Roofing assemblies utilize roof membranes that achieve these performance attributes:
¨ Standard Ruberoid PlazaDeck Roofing systems utilize two layers of .160" RUBEROID polyester-reinforced modified bitumen membrane for redundancy and resiliency.
¨ Premium Ruberoid PlazaDeck Roofing systems utilize three layers of .160" RUBEROID polyester-reinforced modified bitumen membrane for enhanced redundancy and durability.
