GAF Materials Corporation  GAFGLAS Stratavent Perforated

Installation - Page 2

        INSTALLATION_________

Application of STRATAVENT® Perforated Membrane is straightforward—you roll it out dry and hot mop over it as you install additional plies of the roof system.

INSTALLS OVER

· Isocyanurate insulation

· properly prepared old smooth surfaced or spudded gravel surfaced Built Up Roofing

· asphalt primed smooth structural concrete deck

STRATAVENT® Perforated Membrane is unrolled dry, granule surface down to the roof insulation, the old smooth surfaced or spudded gravel surfaced built up roof, or an asphalt primed smooth structural concrete deck. This provides venting, because the granule surface provides a path for moisture vapor release.

The asphalt mopped on top of the STRATAVENT® Perforated as additional plies of membrane are installed flows through the perforations and flows out, adhering the membrane to the substrate.

This results in a series of regularly spaced spot attachment locations, which allow controlled venting and a highly effective, longlasting and cost effective system.
