The Rhino Window Series

GERKIN WINDOWS AND DOORS

From our beginning in 1932, our primary focus has been to manufacture energy saving window and door products. Throughout our 6 year history we have established ourselves as an innovator in the design and manufacturing capability of insulated windows and doors.

Product testing and designing is an ongoing process which has allowed our products to evolve as market and consumer needs change. In our early days we manufactured storm doors and storm windows. As our experience and expertise grew, prime window products evolved like our unique Weatherliner window series. The Weatherliner set new high quality standards for aluminum residential-light commercial windows in their category.

Over the years, our Weatherliner prime window product line has been and still is often copied, yet we continue to evolve our original product to meet today's great demands.

Throughout the winter of 1989-90 we started to conceptualize and design our Rhino Commercial and Heavy-Commercial Aluminum prime window series. Today we have six commercial and five heavy-commercial window styles in the Rhino line. Each Rhino window reflects our design and manufacturing expertise developed over the years. We publish our AAMA test results to back up our claims of product performance and quality.

The 90's continue to bring change in the window and door market. To keep abreast of the new demands and restrictions that have become a part of all of our lives, we started to plan and create yet another new product line in 1993, Comfort Series™  vinyl windows and patio doors. Comfort Series™  vinyl products are designed for new construction for the 21st century. Once again our years of experience and expertise is the foundation of our newly designed vinyl window and door products.

Our Storm and Prime Window and Door products are sold and found in most parts of the Northern half of the U.S. and Canada. We have taken the initiative to continue company growth with new designs, and quality new products. This philosophy and commitment is the legacy of Gerkin Windows & Doors.

THE RHINO SERIES

This window series consists of a commercial horizontal slider, commercial and heavy commercial casements, projected and fixed windows. The frame and sash members contain a pour-in-place urethane thermal barrier, which creates an excellent thermal break between exterior and interior of the aluminum frame. All frame members are made from 6063-T5 alloy aluminum extrusions, cut and tooled within strict tolerances. Corners are securely fastened with screws and sealed to provide a strong, watertight and aesthetically pleasing window.

The standard finishes available are baked on acrylic enamel in earth-tone bronze and brilliant white, also class 2 clear anodizing. Custom paint and anodize finishes are also available.

A variety of hardware options are available, roto operators, 4-bar friction hinge, multi-point locking, push/pull hardware, egress and washability hinges.

Installation is easy with a line of panning, subframing, stacking rails, mullions, and interior trim to choose from.

The wall thickness for commercial frame and sash is .062. The wall thickness for heavy commercial is .062 for frames and .125 for the sashes.
