The new Pau Lope® CD ROM you just received has a glitch. When the copies were made
from the "Master", one of the operating programs, "Quick Time", failed
to copy properly during production and fails to install as part of the CD's
installation process. Although 90% of the CD is operational , the "Quick
Time" program is required to operate and run the videos that we included on the CD.
In other words, If you don't have "Quick Time", the videos won't work. But again
we want to emphasize that the hundreds of pictures and text portion of the CD, including
all test and technical data, work just fine.
The good news is , there are a couple of ways around our
problem until we receive the replacement CD's. First we understand that "Quick
Time" has already been installed on your PC from prior CD ROM installs that you may
have done. If this is the case, Your Pope Lope® CD will run as intended, and you will not even notice our glitch.
Secondly, if you have access to the " Internet, you
can download "Quick Time" directly to your hard-drive. You can accomplish
this by following the instructions below. Be aware that the "Quick Time" program
is too large to copy to a disk, so we advise you to use your virus scan before downloading
off the "NET".
TO DOWNLOAD "QUICK TIME" FROM THE
INTERNET:
1) Access the Internet.
2) Use your favorite search engine
3) Type in "Quick Time" and hit the "
search" or "Find" icon.
4)"Apple quick Time VR Home" will pop up. Double
click on it.
5) Quick time page will appear on the left side. As you go
down the page, you will see will "get to QTVR player". Click on " Download
QTVR player" and follow instructions of the program.
6) Downloading takes approx. 15 minutes.
7) After downloading, go to the file where it is saved and
double click. Follow instructions that appear.
The picture quality of your new Pau Lope® CD should be sharp,
crisp and clear, If it is not, you may need to adjust the color settings of your
computer. To do this, open your " Control panel". Then, open "
Display" and select "Settings", open your " color palette" and
reset it to" True Color (24 bit) and " True Color (32 bit)". Click OK and
then re-boot your computer. This will greatly enhance not only the picture clarity, but
will also improve the color quality of the entire CD.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this error may have
caused. If for some reason you are unable to obtain "Quick Time" through one our
suggestions, please let us know, and we will send you a new CD as soon as we receive the
replacements. |
