3. Product Description

BASIC USE
FLEXTRAY is a welded wire mesh cable management system. The open mesh permits easy tray access and provides continuous ventilation of cables installed in the tray, preventing heat buildup and accumulation of dust, bacteria and other contaminants. The system can be installed on walls, ceilings and under access floors. It can be side supported or center hung. A continuous ground conductor fixing system can be accomplished by the use of approved splices and bonding jumpers.

COMPOSITION & MATERIALS
FLEXTRAY is produced from high mechanical strength steel wire which is first welded into a net, then formed into channels to carry the cables. Covers made from pre-galvanized steel are available to protect cables. They are easily installed and can be easily lifted for maintenance activities. Splice plates in three styles made of electro galvanized steel effectively connect trays end to end.

SIZES
•Standard sizes – Mesh size is 2" x 4" (50 x 100 mm). The standard tray length is 118" (3 m) supplied in three channel depths, 1 1/2", 2" and 4" (38, 54 and 105 mm). Nine widths offered include 2", 4", 6", 8", 12" 16", 18", 20" and 24" (50,100, 150, 200, 300, 400 450, 500 and 600 mm).
•Special size – A channel depth of 6" (150 mm) can be made in widths from 8" to 16" (200 - 400 mm).
Custom sizes are available on request.
•Wire Diameter – A minimum of 0.197" on all mesh sections.

FINISHES
Finish options include:
•EZ Electroplated Zinc Galvanized - 0.7 to 0.8 mil (0.018 - 0.020 mm). This finish is suitable for most indoor and mild exterior environments.
•GC Hot Dip Galvanizing – Product is immersed in a molten zinc bath. Average thickness is 2.4 to 3.2 mils (0.06 - 0.08 mm). Most suitable for corrosive interior and outdoor environments.
•GE Equipment Grey – Powder coat finish uses ASA 61 Grey Polyester coating to provide aesthetically pleasing, durable coating ideal for office buildings and other interior applications.
•IN Stainless Steel – AISI 316L provides the most corrosive resistant finish. Appropriate for marine and food processing environments.
•Black Matte – Cationic Epoxy Electro Coat. .4 – 1.2 mils film thickness.

LIMITATIONS
Capacities of various FLEXTRAY widths at different spans.
