Application of Data:
Loads shown apply to double-slotted channel installed with
continuous slot on the underside. The loads also may be applied to double-slotted channel
installed with continuous slot on the topside provided that the lips are restrained from
lateral movement at channel ends, and at intervals of 3' 6" maximum. The lip
restraint can be accomplished by attaching any fitting to the channel with the aid of
Globe Strut Lock Nut.
Uniform Loads:
See tables above.
Concentrated Loads:
Allowable concentrated loads can be obtained by dividing the
uniform load by two. Deflection for the concentrated load can be found by
multiplying the deflection for the uniform load by 0.8.l |
