SB SERIES VENTILATING UNITS

Engineers Specifications

Furnish and install the following Hastings ventilating equipment:

BLOWER SECTION

1. Blower wheels shall be statically and dynamically balanced forwardly curved, double width double inlet, class 1.
2. Blower wheels shall be mounted on solid turned ground shaft with keyway for driven shaft.
3. Bearings shall be 200,000 hour ball bearing, self-aligning, permanently lubricatable, pillow-block or flange mounted.
4. Blower housings, bearings and adjustable motor base shall be mounted on a reinforced frame to insure rigidity and quiet operation.
5. The driver and driven sheaves shall be of the keyed hub type. The driven sheave shall be of the fixed pitch diameter and the driver shall be an (adjustable) (fixed) pitch diameter sheave.
6. Cabinet shall be contructed of the best quality (18) (16) (14) gauge aluminized steel to insure long rust-free life.
7. Access panels shall be provided to allow easy access to motors and filters (if ordered)
8. Outside surface of cabinet shall be primed and finished with a coat of enamel.

OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

A. Filter Section

1. Cabinet shall be constructed of (18) (16) (14) gauge aluminized steel.
2. Frames shall be designed for V-bank filter arrangement and sized to hold nominal 2 inch (throwaway) (extended surface) (cleanable) filters.
3. Access panel shall be provided in the filter cabinet for easy removal of filters.'

B. Stormproof Weatherhood

1. Intake hood shall be fabricated of aluminized steel.
2. Weatherhood to be complete with birdscreen.

C. Dampers

1. Furnish (parallel) (opposed) blade (inlet) (discharge) dampers.
2. Dampers to be provided with (manual quadrant) (modulating motor) (two position motor).

D. Discharge Louvers

1. Furnish a set of discharge louvers with (horizontal) (vertical) blades.
2. Furnish a combination set of discharge louvers with both horizontal and vertical blades.

E. Additional Equipment to be Furnished

1. Vibration isolators (R-I-S) (spring) type for (suspended) (floor) mounting.
2. Service platform with guardrail.
3. Wheatherproofed for outdoor installation.
4. Insulated (blower) (filter) section.
5. Curb adapter frame and perimeter roof curb.
