Equipment Selection - Air Cooled Condensor Unit

  1. Determine the design outside wet bulb temperature of the job location .
  2. Select the design room wet bulb temperature. Use 67 degrees unless specifications call for different bulb.
  3. The total cooling requirement is then "Total Btuh per SCFM" found in the table below multiplied by the SCFM previously determined for air handling section.
  4. Knowing the total cooling load, select the air cooled condensing unit from the YR-RYR capacity tables on page 7 or the condensing unit performance table on page 8.
