MODEL DESIGNATION

FEATURES

HASTINGS Air Cooled Condensing  Units have been designed to offer a complete family of units to cover high temperature air cooled condensing unit requirements from 3 through 80 tons. Polyphase  fan motors are used for high reliability and minimum maintenance. Fans are aluminum bladed, direct drive, and selected for minimum noise. Compressors are matched to condensers for optimum efficiency.

CABINET is constructed entirely of mill galvanized sheet steel panels and formed steel channel base. All panels are removable for access and service.

MOTORS are three phase, 1140 RPM, specifically designed for vertical shaft, direct drive fan application and utilize permanently lubricated ball bearings. Corrosion resistant  steel rod mounting brackets reduce air turbulence and eliminate   vibration.

FANS are direct drive propellor type with steel hubs and aluminum blades. Vertical air discharge through a formed venturi minimizes noise generation and air recirculation.

CONDENSER COILS are constructed with seamless copper tubes arranged in a staggered row pattern and mechanically expanded into plate type configured aluminum fins with full collars. A separate  sub-cooling coil, integral with the condenser, is provided  on each circuit to eliminate the possibility of liquid flashing and to increase unit efficiency.

COMPRESSORS for the "F" Series are full hermetic, direct drive by 2 pole motor, complete with inherent overload protection. Motor Compressor units have internal suspension system to eliminate vibration. Compressors are mounted on rubber shock mounts, and are standard with crankcase heaters.

COMPRESSORS for the "C' Series are accessible hermetic, direct drive  by 4 pole motor, complete with overload protection, automatic reversing, oil  pump,   oil strainer, oil sight glass, suction  and discharge service valves. All Compressors  are mounted on rubber shock mounts, and all have crankcase heaters. Compressor mufflers are standard  for noise elimination.
