Required clearance from combustible material; 6" top,
18 sides and bottom.
Engineers Specifications
- Furnish and install the following ( natural gas)
(propane) fired unit heaters as manufactured by Hastings Industries.

- Heat exchangers shall all electric welded
construction with (18 gauge tubes and 16 gauge header plates of aluminized steel)
(.044" tubes and .050" header places of type 409 stainless steel) (.041"
tubes and .050" header plates of type 321 stainless steel).
- Burners shall be made of 18 gauge aluminized steel
with type 430 stainless ribbon inserts and shall fire directly into the heat exchanger
tubes. There shall be access at the bottom of each heater for the removal of individual
burners and pilot assembly.
- All unit heaters shall have adjustable louvers for
proper air diffusion.
- Gas and electrical components shall consist of not
less than the following : 24 volt combination gas valve containing main and pilot gas
cocks, main and pilot gas pressure regulators, redundant solenoid gas valves, pilot
solenoid gas valve and 100% safety shut-off; also high limit control, fan control and
115/24 volt control transformer.
- Cabinet side panels shall be of 20 gauge cold
rolled steel and drain pans of (20) (18) gauge aluminized steel. Side panels and
drain pans to be finished with enamel.
- Unit heaters shall be A.G.A./C.G.A. design
certified.
