Heat Exchanger: Model UFO-10 has firing chambers of mild steel lined with pyrolite to prevent the steel surface temperature from rising too high. The secondary surfaces is composed of vertical, aluminized steel tubes. A flame observation port is provided on the side of the heater opposite the burner.

Models UFO-25and UFO-50 have 16 gauge, 400 series stainless steel primary heating chamber and 14 gauge mild steel secondary section. Design permits two passes of combustion gasses within the primary chamber and one pass in the secondary section, all at ninety degrees to the direction of air flow. Flame observation port is located on same side of heater as the burner.

All models have  negative pressure combustion chambers to prevent combustion gasses from escaping to the surrounding area. It is therefore important that proper exhaust stack design be utilized and burner adjustment maintained to preserve this key safety feature.

Power Exhauster - Note: It is mandatory that power exhausters be applied with these units if they are to operate in an area of negative pressure.

Double Deflection Discharge Louvers - Consists of vertical louvers to be added standard horizontal louvers.

ODF SERIES OIL-FIRED DUCT FURNACES

The ODF  is a self-contained, automatic, indirect oil-fired warm air duct furnaces. This unit is available in three models, ODF -10,ODF-25, and ODF-50. The heating capacities of these duct furnaces are the same as listed below for like numbered UFO models.

The ODF series duct furnaces have identical mechanical specifications to those of comparable UFO unit heater models with all

pump, motor, combustion air fan and drive, and combustion air  damper.

Fan : Propeller type mounted for direct-drive on the shaft of fan motor. Aluminum fan blades fastened to a steel hub. Assembly includes wire guard. Models up thru UFO-25 with single fan; Model UFO-50 has twin fans. Fans rated in accordance with AMCA standards.

Fan Motor : 120 volt totally enclosed type, permanently lubricated with internal overload protection.

Cabinet : UFO-10 is manufactured of aluminum construction and UFO-25 and50 are constructed of 18 GA. G.R.S. Includes flame observation port and two-point suspension hanger connectors or hanger rails with movable grip nuts.

Air Discharge System : Individually adjustable, horizontal single deflection louvers.

Control System : Includes fan and limit switch flame safety relay, low voltage transformer and cadmium sulphide cell. Main current is 120 volt/60 cycle/single phase; control current is 24 volt.

Disconnect Switch - Circuit breaker type.

FM - Includes fusible link valve with all models.

IRI - Includes oil pressure switch with all models. UFO-25 and 50 also include power exhauster. Note : If approval office requires a gas pilot, UFO-50 may not be used.
