Air Throw From Nozzles

The above throws are based on air volumes listed in
this bulletin for floor mounted heaters with standard inlets and discharge. As the
air throw from a heater is subject to many variable conditions, the figures shown above
should be used only as a guide.

GENERAL
Each unit shall be shop assembled and wired, flame tested at the
factory and shipped as a packaged assembly. Stack, external wiring and piping shall be
furnished and installed by the contractor.
COMBUSTION SECTION
The primary combustion chamber shall be of all welded, 400 series
stainless steel construction, with a minimum of 16 gauge material. The chamber shall be
designed for a minimum of two-pass flame travel within the chamber and the amount of heat
transfer shall be approximately 75% of the total heat output. A port for observing the
main flame shall be provided on the same end of the combustion chamber as the burner.
The secondary shall be of mild steel tubes and headers.
CASING
The portion of the casing enclosing the warm of air fans shall have
screened inlets. A pressure relief door and an observation port shall be provided on the
end of the casing where the burner is mounted.
FANS AND DRIVES
Each heater shall be equipped with centrifugal fan(s), statically
and dynamically balanced, and mounted on a heavy-duty, cold-rolled steel shaft of a size
limiting first critical speed to at least 25% above maximum operating speed. The fan(s)
shall be driven by an adjustable sheave V-belt arrangement sized for 35% greater
than the required brake horsepower. The motor shall have an adjustable mount.
BURNERS
Gas (G)- A power -type burner shall employ power spark ignition and
main burner power ignition for use with (natural gas) (LP gas) (LP gas/air mixture.)
Burner shall include in the standard manifold a main gas electric shut-off valve, main and
pilot gas pressure regulator for maximum inlet pressure. Minimum inlet pressure is 4
ounces.
Light Oil (LO) - A power-type oil burner, suitable for burning fuels
through #2 grade, shall employ high pressure oil automation; with mechanically forced
draft, and shall incorporate an oil pump, combustion&; air fan and drive, and
combustion ; air damper.
CONTROLS
Controls; shall be factory mounted and shall include; a control
transformer, bonnet fan and limit switch, low voltage transformer, electric fan relay;
with pilot flame safeguard and all necessary relays; and switches.
On-Off space thermostat shall be furnished for field mounting and
wiring.
Control current shall be 115/24&; volt (Oil), 115 volt (Gas).
OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES
The following options and accessories shall be provided (select
from page 3 of this bulletin).
