Check with your respective Sales Office for length to width ratio (aspect ratio) limitations
which will require both lites heat strengthened or tempered.
Reflective glass units that are tempered or heat strengthened will show distortion intrinsic
with such heat treatment processes.
Glazing Recommendations for insulating Glass Unit also apply to Reflective Insulating
Units. Glazing Recommendations are available upon request.
Capillary tubes are recommended for units that are to be glazed in installations in excess
of 2,500 feet elevation change from place of manufacture. The customer must so specify
this condition on quotation requests and purchase orders.

UNIT CONSTRUCTION (FIG. 1)
All commercially available annealed, tempered, heat strengthened and laminated glass
products can be built into an Insulating unit with the following limitations:
- Tinted and Reflective Glass often requires heat treatment.
- Patterned glass requires the smooth surface to be insulated to the airspace.
- Maximum two-glass thickness difference of 1/16", unless the lites are heat treated.
- Wired glass is not to be used with tinted glass.
- Annealed glass must not be glazed in hazardous locations defined by applicable
codes or federal laws. These locations should be glazed with an approved safety
glass.
