Both transparent and translucent silkscreen pattern glasses are well suited for interior applications. Walls, doors and partitions can be designed for privacy or openness and decorated with patterns or custom design to suit the aesthetic desires of any client. Public areas such as wainscotting in hotel lobbies, airports, bathrooms, or elevator walls clad with Decorative Silkscreen glass is more resistant to graffiti than most building materials, easy to clean and attractive.

PATTERN PERFORMANCE VALUES

Decorative patterns can be combined with clear or tinted glass substrates. Most frequently the pattern is applied to the inside of the outboard lite (#2 surface) of an insulating unit with a clear inboard lite. The performance values for the three standard patterns are shown in the attached chart. HGP can match many custom colors and design required for your project. Decorative Silkscreen glass can be specifically designed to reduce glare, decrease solar transmission while creating beautiful geometric and graphic patterns. Heat treating is required for all silkscreened glass plies.

QUALITY CONTROL

The quality of the ceramic enamel patter a shall be inspected from a distance of 39 inches for interior applications and 10 feet for exterior with the glass in a vertical position, under lighting conditions similar to the final installed position.

COLOR RANGE

The color of the ceramic enamel shall be less than 1.0 delta units when read by a MacBeth color-eye spectrophotometer.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Architect shall judge the field installed glass against an approved full size control sample. Full size sample can be used on the project or as attic stock at contractors discretion.
