DESIGN ASSISTANCE
STACKWALL design assistance will be provided by Tempglass' Architectural Technical Services Department
located at the Tempglass Perrysburg plant. Tempglass uses state-of-the-art computerized design techniques to
provide structural analysis and materials estimates. Drawings are prepared using AUTOCAD and STACKWALL
specifications are available to you in CSI format on WORD PERFECT™ via a floppy disk or hard copy.
INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR DESIGN ASSISTANCE
Tempglass' Architectural Technical Services Department is ready to assist your design team at all stages of your
project. In order to help you most efficiently, the following checklist is provided:
- Your name.
- Your firm name, location and phone.
- Project name and location.
- Type of structure, ie. hotel, mall, office building, racetrack, etc.
- New construction or renovation.
- Overall height and width of proposed STACKWALL opening. Local windload code requirements.
- Desired size of individual mainplates and grid layout.
- Full height fins or cantilever design.
- Entrance type and description, ie. swing doors, revolvers, etc.
- Types of perimeter fastening surfaces, ie. steel, concrete, etc.
- Anticipating live load vertical deflection of the supporting structure at the opening head, if any.
TESTING
STACKWALL performance has been proven through extensive laboratory testing, conducted by Construction
Research Laboratory; Inc., Miami, Florida. Testing included water infiltration, by static pressure at 8 PSF, for 15
minutes, in accordance with ASTM E331 Air and Water Infiltration Standard; Structural performance, by static
pressure, to 60 PSF, in accordance with ASTM E330, Standard Test Method for Structural Testing of
Curtainwall; and seismic behavior, by lateral racking to 1.5% of the wall height.
WARRANTY
STACKWALL is covered by a limited warranty, provided all applicable parties comply with our general sales
conditions, installation instructions, shop drawings, specifications, and working guidelines. Contact Tempglass
