Tempglass has designed and developed a new structural glass wall system which we call the IG Finwall. This system was developed as a companion for our IG Stackwall, but it is for openings less than 16 feet high. This single story wall system can be used with a wide variety of glass combinations, including a complete range of reflective and Low-E coatings to meet the insulating, vision and aesthetic requirements of each individual project*. This system was developed to meet the demands for the aesthetic design characteristics of an exterior flush glazed system using an interior glass mullion instead of a metal mullion.

The IG Finwall is an engineered floor-loaded system, utilizing 1" tempered glass mullions, 3/4" tempered mullions are also available. The system can be designed to structurally withstand windloads of up to 150 mph. IG Finwall has also passed simulated seismic loading tests at Construction Research Laboratory, Miami, FL.

The minimum glass mullion depth is 4". The mullion depth required can be determined using chart 1. To use chart 1, first multiply the windload (PSF) by the mullion spacing width (in feet, center-to-center), and locate this point on the baseline, and extend a line vertically. Next enter the opening height in feet from the

* All insulating glass units that are butt glazed must have a back up mullionif the opening is higher than 3 feet.
