left and extend a line horizontally to the point of intersection. This will show the required fin depth. Example: Windload of 20 PSF x 5' spacing = 100 intersected by 12' opening height requires a 5-1/2" fin depth. The maximum recommended mullion center to center spacing is 84".

Because of its narrow glass mullion width when compared to a metal mullion system, the IG Finwall is particularly well suited for segmented curved facades.

IG Finwall mainplates are usually 1 " insulating glass units, using 2 lites of 1/4" tempered glass with a 1/2" air space. Wider mullion spacings and higher installations may also require heavier glass.

The perimeter metal extrusions and door hardware are available from Tempglass in stainless steel, brass clad, anodized and painted finishes. When a door opening is required in an IG Finwall, a supplemental framing system must be installed to protect the edges of the insulating glass.

HEATSOAKING

Heatsoaking of the tempered glass within a STACKWALL system is available as specified on any project. The heatsoaking process should be defined as 100% product heatsoaking or statistical heatsoaking. Neither process is provided unless specified as a project requirement in the specifications.
