HEAT TREATED HGP is one of the largest fabricators of heat treated glass products in North America. Heat treated glass is exceptional for added strength, safety and durability. Due to its strength and resistance to breakage this glass product is frequently used in areas such as entrance systems, shower doors and patio doors. |

The focus of heat treated glass is that it is strong enough to resist higher mechanical and thermal loads, but its thickness, uniform light transmission and color consistency make it an effective glass for aesthetic purposes too. Heat treated glass varies in thickness and durability. Heat strengthened glass can be used as an alternative to fully tempered glass for spandrel applications and curtain wall glass above ground level, when there is a concern for glass fall-out, skylight glazing and safety glazing is not required. Heavy tempered glass is stronger and more functional and it is used when a superior material is needed to reduce deflection, improve noise suppression and safety is a priority. This remarkably durable glass is used in ice hockey rinks, storefronts, vestibules, display cases and table tops. Our horizontal roller hearth tempering technology ensures a high level of quality and performance. In both residential and commercial uses tempered glass impedes breakage and is four times stronger than annealed glass. When broken, fully tempered glass will fracture into innumerable pieces to reduce the chance of injury. Heat treated glasses are available in monolithic, insulating, laminated, and spandrel 8, decorative glass, entrance systems and our glasswall systems. |

INSULATING GLASS Insulating glass is energy efficient and cost effective for all size buildings. Insulating glass is used to reduce air-to-air heat transfer and solar heat gain. It is excellent for controlling heating and cooling costs, while conserving energy. We combine two or more lites of high quality glass, then we separate them with a hermetically sealed air space. The result is far better thermal performance than single glazed glass. HGP insulating glass units are constructed to match your job specifications.. |
