DESCRIPTION
Carpet Board as manufactured is an all wood fiber board made from 100% recycled material, treated to resist moisture. It is termite, rot and fungi protected and compressed into resilient insulation panels.

USES
Carpet Board is used with a variety of flooring materials to reduce impact noise and sound transmission through the floor system. It is installed over wood floors, new or old wood sub-flooring, or above grade concrete. It is used in high or low rise apartments, hotels, motels, and quality homes.

ADVANTAGES
Carpet Board is relatively lightweight; easy to handle, cut and shape; and can be secured with nails and adhesive-all contributing to lower installed costs per square foot. It has high insulation value, provides constant resistance to air penetration, and contributes to longer life for carpeting. The structural strength of Carpet Board is sufficient to allow application on top of plywood without a plywood covering layer. In any building where the control of sound is a major purpose, installation of Carpet Board can provide a return of high value. This product also provides an excellent temporary protection and/or conversion of wood floors, concrete floors, carpet, artificial turf, etc.
