Systems & Services - Excel Security Manager - Page 35

System Architecture

The modular architecture of Excel Security Manager provides a cost effective, scalable system allowing configurations ranging from small, single nodes to large systems with multiple servers.

Excel Security Manager is based around a Microsoft® network. A high performance, real time database provides information to a Windows® 95 or Windows NT® workstation. These workstations may be connected locally or remotely and may be defined with a dedicated or a casual access connection.

Excel Security Manager is an open system, allowing communication to other Excel Security Manager systems, PC networks, corporate management information systems or enterprise systems via local and wide area networks.

Networking in Excel Security Manager is based on the industry standard TCP/IP protocol allowing easy integration with existing systems and devices. They can be remotely connected through a network based on satellite, microwave, optical fiber, radio or leased line.

Excel Security Manager may also be configured in a high availability architecture for systems which require superior fault tolerance.

The flexibility of Excel Security Manager provides you with a cost effective, scalable solution.
